Information regarding our Prepaid Cards
It is virtually possible these days to buy anything you could ever need or want online, unfortunately fraudsters and thieves know this all too well. Debit Card fraud has been increasing at the Mercy-City-Lehigh Family Credit Union, and online purchases have been the most common factor among each case. One way to prevent Debit Card fraud is to purchase one of our pre-paid gift cards or travel cards. They are safe to use online or on vacation, and since they are Visa/Mastercard they are accepted at most online and in-store retailers. Here are a few need-to-knows before deciding what card would be right for you.
Visa Pre-Paid Gift Cards - $5.00 fee to purchase and can be purchased for $5-$750.
***NOTE: The Visa Pre-Paid Gift Cards are not reloadable***
Travelex Pre-Paid Mastercard - $10.00 fee to purchase and $5.00 fee to reload. These cards have a $200.00 minimum to load with a maximum load of $7,500. You can also have a secondary cardholder attached to the same account ($3.00 fee for initial setup of a secondary cardholder).
